NIGERIA COMPUTER SOCIETY (NCS) PROGRAM DESIGN
INTRODUCTION
The Nigeria Computer Society
(NCS) is the umbrella organization of all Information Technology Professionals,
Interest Groups and Stakeholders in Nigeria, formed in 1978 as Computer
Association of Nigeria (COAN) and Transformed into NCS in 2002 as a result of
harmonization with other stakeholder and interest groups. NCS is the national
platform for the advancement of Information Technology Science and Practice in
Nigeria
Mission:
Advancement of Information
Technology Science and Practice; and their deployments as solutions and
business enablers to all industry practices of human endeavour.

NCS/CPN recognized Information Technology Training Centres in Nigeria
Briefing
Participants of this conference
will include delegates from several countries of the world. The conference will
take place at Royal Park Hotel (Opposite Olashore International School),
Iloko-Ijesa, Osun State from 24th
– 26th July, 2013.
Activities
The
theme of this years’ international conference is “e-Government & National
Security”. Along with other sub-themes which include:

Transforming
the Art of Governance through e-Government

Promoting
Smart Government & Social Security through Information Technology
·
Promoting
Economic Security through Information Technology
·
Promoting
Political Security through Information Technology
·
National
Database as Core Field of National Security.
There
will also be a Nacoss Night Program, dedicated solely to Nacoss where most of
our activities will be carried out as explained below.
NCS-Nacoss Night Explanation
The
Nacoss Night will be solely sponsored by the Nigeria Computer Society. We
intend to make maximum use of this event to actualize the following:
1. Meet with most of the members of
the Executive Council
2. Have a one-on-one question and
answer session with the NCS president and other presidents of interest groups
affiliated with NACOSS.
3. We will have a Software
Exhibition Contest. (Details will be communicated to everyone through the
office of the Software Director).
4. We will also launch our desktop
application software.
5. Our plan for the remaining
programs in this administration will be laid out.
